The Office to Advance Women, Equity and Diversity’s initiatives are intended to create a faculty-based social system that acts proactively to enhance a culture of inclusion for all faculty at FIU, as well as to advance women and underrepresented minority faculty, particularly within Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) and the Social and Behavior Sciences. Through the ADVANCE Florida Network, AWED also seeks to develop and share best practices for diversity and inclusion with the University of South Florida and the University of Central Florida, FIU’s metropolitan partners, as well as with other universities locally and nationally.
For information about our initiatives and the research conducted to inform them, please review the topics in the left hand navigation.
